Nothing Is Going Right

Below is a great list of things to remember when everything seems to be going wrong.

I picked up the list from the Marc and Angel blog.

Let’s talk some truth before we begin.

If you believe that happiness is the absence of problems you would be mistaken. A part of you being happy is how you deal with your problems.

It is not what the world takes away from you, it is what you choose to do with what you have left.

PAIN IS PART OF GROWING

It’s hard to recognize when it’s time to move on when things are going wrong. When it is time to move forward, life has a funny way of intervening something and close the doors for you. We often will not move unless circumstances force us to. So this is a good thing. When times are tough, remind yourself that…

No pain comes without a purpose.

Move on from what hurt you…but never forget what it taught you.

Good things take time. Stay patient and stay positive.

There are two kinds of pain. Pain that hurts and pain that changes you. When you roll with life, instead of resisting it, both kinds help you grow.

Just because you are struggling does not mean you are failing. Every great success requires some type of worthy struggle to get there.

EVERYTHING IS TEMPORARY

Really think about it. Again.

Every time it rains, it stops raining.

Every time you get hurt, you heal.

After darkness, there is always light.

Sure, we are reminded of these things all the time. But still, we do not put the same message into context when it comes to our lives. Nothing last forever.

If things are good right now, enjoy it. It will not last forever. Just as if things are bad that will not last either.

Life may not be easy at the moment, does not mean you cannot enjoy what is good in your life.

Because something is bothering you, does not mean you cannot smile.

Every moment gives you a new beginning and a new ending. You get a second chance, every second. All you have to do is take it and make the best of it.

WORRY CHANGES NOTHING (and neither does complaining)

If often seems that we are conditioned to worry and complain about things that we have no control over.

Really though, those who complain the most, accomplish the least.

It is always better to attempt to do something great and fail than to attempt to do nothing and succeed. Just because you’ve lost does not mean it’s over; it is over when you do nothing but complain and worry about it.

If you believe in something, keep trying. Do not let the shadows of the past darken the doorstep of your future. Know this…spending today complaining about yesterday will not make tomorrow any brighter. Take action instead. Let what you have learned improve how you live.

SCARS ARE SYMBOLS OF STRENGTH

Do you know what a scar is?

It means that hurt is over and the wound is closed.

Do not ever be ashamed of the scars life has left you with. It means you conquered the pain, learned a lesson, grew stronger, and moved forward.

Do not allow them to make you live your life in fear. You cannot make the scars in your life disappear, but you can change the way you see them. You can start seeing your scars a sign of strength and not pain.

EVERY STRUGGLE IS A STEP FORWARD

In life, patience is not about waiting; it is the ability to keep a good attitude while working hard on your dreams, knowing that the work is worth it.

So if you are going to try, put in the time and go all the way. Otherwise, there is no point in starting. This could mean removing yourself from your comfort zone. Many things could and will occur when we take steps forward; suffering relationships, ridicule, solitude, etc.

It’s time to pay attention to when the universe is telling you things are going wrong and you need to move on.

If you want it, you will do it, despite failure and rejection and the odds.

And every step will feel better than anything else you can imagine. you will realize that the struggle is not found on the path, it is the path. And it is so worth it! There is no better feeling in the world than going for what you want!

NOT YOUR PROBLEM

Other people’s negativity is not your problem.

When negativity surrounds you, smile. Be positive.

Other people can try to treat you poorly, try to bring you down, try to keep you from being you…there is no reason to let anyone’s bitterness change the person you are.

Even if it seems personal, do your best to remember people rarely do things because of someone else. They do things because of them.

Above all else, do not ever change to impress someone who says you are not good enough (or at all for that matter).

Change because it makes you a better person and leads you to a brighter future. People are going to talk regardless of what you do or how well you do it. So worry about yourself before you worry about what others think.

If you believe strongly something, do not be afraid to fight for it. Great strength comes from overcoming what others think is impossible.

WHAT IS MEANT TO BE

What is meant to be will eventually, be. True strength comes when you have so much to cry and complain about, but you prefer to smile and appreciate your life instead. There are blessings hidden in every struggle you face, but you have to be willing to open your heart to see them.

As much as you may try, you cannot force things to happen. You can only drive yourself crazy trying. At some point, you need to let go and let what is meant to be, be.

In the end, loving your life is about trusting your intuition, taking chances, losing and finding happiness, cherishing the memories and moments and learning through experience. It is a long-term journey. You need to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting every step of the way.

Laugh at the confusion, live consciously in the moment, and enjoy your life as it unfolds. You might not end up exactly where you intended to go, but you will eventually arrive precisely where you are supposed to be.

KEEP GOING

That is the best thing you can do. Keep going.

Do not be afraid to get back up – to try again, to love again, to live again, and to dream again.

Do not let a hard lesson harden your heart. Life’s best lessons are often learned at the worst times and from the worst mistakes.

Sure, there will be times when it seems like everything could possibly go wrong is going wrong.

And you might feel like you will be stuck in the rut forever, but will not be. When you feel like quitting, remember that sometimes things have to go very wrong before they can be right. Sometimes you have to go through the worst, to arrive at your best.

Yes, life is tough.

The question is…do you believe that you are tougher?

Find the strength to laugh every day.

Find the courage to feel different.

Find a way to be flexible with your goals.

Do not waste your time stressing over things you cannot control. Speak truthfully.

Work diligently. And even if you fall short, keep going.

Keep growing.
